BASIC COURSE OUTLINE OF INFERENTIAL STATISTICS
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course highlights the concept of statistics for quantitative research method in terms of:
1. Independent Samples t-test
2. Dependent (Paired) Samples t-test
3. Non-Parametric Test of t-tests
a. Mann-Whitney test
b. Wilcoxon Signed Rank
4. Other Parametric Tests
a. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)
b. The Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA)
1) The assumptions of ANCOVA
2) Conducting ANCOVA
c. Correlational
d. Simple Linear Regression
COURSE OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course the students are expected to have theoretical and practical knowledge of:
1. Describing appropriate application of displaying and analyzing quantitative research data;
2. Conducting test assumptions.
3. Conducting parametric tests to analyze the data;
4. Conducting non parametric as alternative tests in analyzing the data;
5. Interpreting the result of the data analyses.
